Today I received two books that I have had on my "wish list" for some time.
I have already started reading...
Recommended to all Scandinavians who are interested in traveling.
The author`s language, the observational skill and the sense of humor make them a very pleasant and entertaining read.

Hello again.

Today I have put up a photo I took in London some weeks back.

I don´t know why I am more eager to use the camera when I am abroad or when I have a certain photo-task.
I keep telling myself that there are "millions of things" all over....
I spoke to a Danish photographer that saw the photo exhibition, and he told me that he is trying each day to take a photo of something new..... So THANK YOU Steen, you inspired me! ;-)
So, here I am with my two cameras, and I will stick to my plan.
Some of the photos you can see here, others at

This morning I met up with a friend in town, for a chat and a coffee at "Black Coffee" at Breitorget, just behind the Culturehouse.
The owner is the one who is on the "photo" on the window.
Creative and smart way to advertise for this nice place!

I am having a very relaxed evening.....
Looking in my new book that arrived by post today, "PARIS MADE BY HAND", by Pia Jane Bijkerk.
It is interesting and very well done with beautiful photos from 50 shops and studios.

Thanks for the card.

Anna (soon 2 years old) and her Mum arrived back from Paris yesterday.
Here is the card we got. The photo (on the card) was taken in 1934.
The photographers name is not mentioned, but it is written
"Place du Trocadéro, pigeon fanciers`event."
Well, 75 years later, Anna celebrated Aunties wedding in the big city!

I remember

Yesterday evening I went to the photo-club where I have been a member for some years, but not so active the last few years. Anyway, somehow we discussed a photo that reminded me of one of the most interesting, creative and esthetically pleasing photos of a Norwegian politician that I have ever seen.
I guess the club members thought I was joking when I told them about Erna Solberg  (The leader of the Conservative (Høyre), wearing a wonderful "dress", out in a little water surrounded with water lilies.

With a bit of help..... I found the photo I suddenly remembered, on internet this morning.

The photographer is Marie Sjøvold, and the photo was published in the first magazine of VG/helg, back in 2005.

It has been busy, nice and challenging to be part of the exhibition.
I was so pleased to see and to meet people who took interest in our work!
A big THANK YOU to all who commented and also took the time to write in my "guestbook".

Hello Eva,

Tomorrow evening it is a week since I came home from London.
When I asked you about .... what to take pictures of .... you suggested "street photography", as you also know that I like that style.
Well, I took two cameras with me, and used them with joy, not thinking about doing anything in particular like when we were busy photographing in London last January.
Anyway, here is a picture I took last Wednesday outside one of my favorite shops....
Yes, as you see it was my international collection of umbrellas increased with one more ;-)
